I’m Tom
I’m Tom, the DJ behind Good Frequency, based in Saltdean near Brighton. I’ve spent over twenty years mixing across weddings, private parties, corporate events and clubs, including regular sets at Brighton’s Amex Stadium, and I’ve learned that a great wedding night isn’t about showing off behind the decks. It’s about reading the room, understanding what you and your guests want, and getting the timing right so the floor fills and stays full.
How I approach your wedding
Every wedding I play starts with a proper planning conversation. I want to know what you love, what you can’t stand, the songs that mean something to you, and the moments that matter most. First dance or family favourites, and the do-not-play list (every couple has one). I take a song list from you, mix it with what I know works on a dancefloor, and adapt on the night based on what your guests are actually responding to.
What I play
Music that fits the room and the moment. Most wedding nights move through a few moods: early evening background while guests are arriving and chatting, a building set as the dancefloor starts to fill, peak time when everyone’s in, and a final hour that lands the night the way you want it. I move through eras and genres confidently, from Motown through 80s and 90s classics into current floor-fillers, and I take requests on the night without losing control of the room.
A small collective of wedding DJs
I work alongside a small group of experienced wedding DJs under the Good Frequency name. That means if your date isn’t available with me, or if you’d like to talk to someone whose style suits you better, we can usually find a good fit within the team. It also means cover is built in, so you’ll never be left wondering what happens if something goes wrong in the run-up to your day.
Equipment included
A full professional DJ setup is included as standard: high-quality PA appropriate to your venue size, dancefloor lighting that lifts the room without overpowering it, wireless microphones for speeches and announcements, and a clean, well-presented booth. You get the kit you need without having to think about it.
Beyond weddings
Alongside weddings I also play private parties, birthdays, anniversaries and corporate events.
You might also know me as DJ Atomix where I play a broader mix of house, disco, breaks and drum & bass. If you’re booking something with a clubbier feel, that’s the same person behind the decks, just a different setlist.
Whatever the event, the principle is the same. Read the room, get the timing right, fill the floor.
